Shortly after the announcement of its surprise pre-order last week, 3x GRAMMY® Award-nominated R&B superstar Trey Songz has officially released his eagerly-awaited eighth studio album, BACK HOME, today. The full length album, which features 22 carefully crafted, captivating tracks, is now available at all digital streaming platforms HERE. In addition to the release, Trey has unveiled a brand new music video for “I Know A Love,” featuring exclusive home footage of his beloved son Noah; check it out HERE. BACK HOME signifies Trey’s development as not only an R&B artist, but his ability to connect to fans through his raw musical talent for over 15 years. BACK HOME welcomes production from a number of renowned names, including long time trusted collaborator Troy Taylor (Boyz II Men, Mary J. Blige, Brian McKnight), Johnta Austin (Mariah Carey, Aaliyah, Monica), Hitmaka (Big Sean, Lil Wayne, Mulatto), Boi1da (Beyonce, Drake, Rihanna), Eric Hudson (Madonna, Omarion, Kanye West), $K (Tyga, Jacquees, Chris Brown), Troy Oliver (J.Lo, Ginuwine, G Eazy) and more! As if that weren’t enough, Trey tapped fellow stars Summer Walker, Ty Dolla $ign, Swae Lee and Davido for guest spots on the album, putting the finishing touches on what has become a pristine body of work.

“I truly believe music heals and is good for the soul. As an artist I have the opportunity to be the soundtrack of our times, not just my life. Back Home to me is filled with opinions, positions, realities and a deep introspective look into where I’m at in my life. As an artist and new father, I want my music to be a true reflection of my evolution and my commitment to my fans to never forget where I came from. That’s why it’s entitled Back Home.” –Trey Songz

In celebration of last week’s pre-order, Trey unveiled one of the album’s featured tracks, “Two Ways” for the first time since teasing it on Instagram Live in August, with the track dubbed as one of his personal favorites. The falling out of love anthem Two Ways,” finds the R&B superstar pouring his heart out over a nostalgic melody, accentuated by a slinky guitar and throwback beat.

BACK HOME was heralded earlier this year by the captivating singles, “Circles,” “2020 Riots: How Many Times” and “Back Home (Feat. Summer Walker).” “Circles” has already accumulated over 8 million streams worldwide and 3.3 million YouTube views on the music video. Attracting critical acclaim, Revolt praised “Circles” as “a celebration of Black relationships,” and Billboard included it among “First Beat.” The melodic “Back Home” collaboration with Summer Walker, produced by Hitmaka, has emerged as his biggest R&B radio hit in six years. It captured No. 7 on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay Chart, marking his third Top 10 on the respective chart. Not to mention, it has already eclipsed 36 million global streams and a total of 4.2 million YouTube views.

Trey Songz has long used his voice to shed light upon the harsh realities faced by the black community. Most recently, through a variety of initiatives and keen activism, the Virginia native has utilized his platform to not only drive voter awareness into the upcoming presidential election, but to the constant injustices experienced in America. The aforementioned single, “2020 Riots: How Many Times” arrived in the wake of Black Lives Matter protests across the country, of which Trey found himself on the frontlines for, driven by passion. He later hosted a Black Lives Matter weekend event in his hometown in honor of JuneTeenth 2020, with all proceeds to benefit Black Lives Matter and the Community Justice Exchange’s National Bail Fund Network.

Since the release of his 2005 Atlantic Records debut I Gotta Make It, singer, actor, entrepreneur, performer, and Virginia native Trey Songz has achieved over 7.9 billion global streams & sales combined, three GRAMMY® Award nominations, landed back-to-back #1 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 with the RIAA gold-certified Chapter V in 2012 and RIAA platinum-certified TRIGGA in 2014, and staunchly carried a tradition of classic R&B into the 21st century.

With his highly anticipated eighth full-length album, Back Home via Atlantic Records, Trey bares himself like never before, delivering his most intimate & introspective project to date.
