Johannesburg, 4th August 2017: Warner Music South Africa recording artist ASH presents his extended play record, aptly titled ‘Prophet’. The album drops Friday, 4th August only at digital retail.

2016 saw ASH release his anticipated debut album ‘ASH Muzik’ and now 12 months on ASH has shifted sonically as he drops his follow-up EP, ‘Prophet’ – a harder hitting work that will announce him to the wider hip-hop scene.

Says ASH, Prophet is my best body of work thus far, giving me a creative platform for me to express my prophecies and life experiences to my fans. You can expect an EP that will solidify me as an all round artist that can dabble in the current sounds. I’m very excited for my fans to see this side of me and I can’t wait to trap out with everyone to Prophet.

The EP, recorded between March and June 2017 at various studios was produced by up & coming beatmakers DJ Megion and Louis M Songz.

Born Ashley Michael Beyers in 1990 to a humble one-parent home, in KZN, South Africa, ASH danced his way through early life. At just 2 years old, he won his first dance competition, busting his moves to Michael Jackson, and by 16 he was on TV, dancing in various TV commercials, before moving on to the reality show, So You Think You Can Dance, where he placed Top 5 and Music Moves Me. After releasing his debut album ASH Muzik in 2016, and now the follow-up EP, ASH is living his dream.

At some point, I realized I wanted to be the whole package’ – up until then singing had been my hobby, but after touring the world for 3 years as a dancer and back-up vocalist in a Michael Jackson tribute tour, I found I had something to say, I found my voice.’ Says ASH

So, from playing drums in church, to dancing on TV, performing with a variety of local and international artists including Jamali, HHP and Ludacris and touring the World he is now ready to shine, ‘I just want to get on stage as ASH now’.
